Rowland sits at the southern edge of Robeson County, close enough to the state line that some of its traffic thinks in South Carolina terms. For us it is simply the far end of home: same county, same inspectors, same crews, about twenty-five minutes from the shop.

The work down here is honest work. Farmhouses and family homes that need roofs, kitchens, and structural attention; a historic little downtown; and property owners who want a contractor who shows up when he said and charges what he quoted. That is a standard we can meet all day.

What Rowland Projects Look Like

The southern end of the county is open country, and open country means wind. Roofs down here work harder than roofs in town, and we install and repair them accordingly: high-wind nailing schedules, sealed edges, and flashing that assumes sideways rain. After a storm, we are the call that still answers in February.

Being county-local matters in a town Rowland’s size. There is no big-box contractor presence here, and the alternative to a Lumberton company is usually somebody’s cousin with a ladder or an outfit from over the line with a magnetic door sign. Three Rowland Calls We Took

The tobacco barn that became a real workshop.

Sound frame, dead roof, dirt floor. New metal roof, slab poured, power run from the house panel, and a working shop for equipment that had been rusting under tarps.

The wind claim done honestly.

A storm creased one slope and the door-knockers promised a free roof. Our inspection showed one legitimate slope claim, not a total. The carrier paid it, the repair matched the rest of the roof, and the owner kept an honest claims history.

The farmhouse kitchen for the family that stayed.

Third-generation house, first-generation dishwasher. Cabinets, counters, wiring for the appliances the original kitchen never imagined, and a layout that still fits the Sunday crowd.

The southern end of the county does not generate press, but it generates loyal clients, and there is a connection. Work done far from the spotlight has to stand on its own: the roof either holds or it does not, and the town knows which within a season. We have been passing that test in places like Rowland for 25 years.
